Call for abstracts
Congress participants are invited to submit abstracts for the NLC2026 congress exploring following topics:
Abstract topics:
- ILD
- Airway disease
- Cancer
- Infections
- Nursing Care
- Other
General information
Accepted contributions will be presented as oral, posters or case report
The deadline for abstract submission is February 28, 2026.
All submissions will undergo a blind peer review of the Scientific Committee of NLC2026.
The acceptance letters will be sent by March 16, 2026.
All accepted abstracts will be published on the congress web page, subject to the author registering as a paid delegate. The accepted abstracts will be published as typed by the author, including any errors in grammar, spelling or scientific facts.
We accept abstracts that have not been previously accepted, published and presented elsewhere. The abstract can be on the same subject or the same study as published earlier but it cannot be the identical abstract as presented earlier. Please notice, that an abstract is not considered or compared to an article publication.
Abstract submission guidelines for oral and posters presentations
Title
Abstract title should contain no more than 150 characters with spaces.
Capitalize the first letter of the first word, then lowercase.
Body of the abstract
Abstract text should contain no more than 300 words (do not include references or keywords). Do not include lists, tables or images.
Please do not include authors names and affiliations in the abstract text.
The abstract must be structured in the following four specified subtitles:
- Background/aims
- Material and Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
We recommend using Word for editing your abstract and counting the number of words.
The text and title should be typed with single line spacing, using Times New Roman 12.
The easiest way is to paste the title and abstract text into appropriate boxes.
Guide to writing a case report abstract
Eligibility:
A Case Report abstract should provide valuable teaching points or learning lessons. Case presentations can either be accepted as a poster presentation or an oral presentation in a designated case presentation session.
Title:
The abstract should emphasize the clinical condition and teaching point.
Format:
Case Report abstracts should be structured in the following way:
- Introduction/Background
- Case description (including diagnostic evaluation, treatment and follow up)
- Clinical Lesson or Conclusion (emphasizing learning points and implications to clinical practice)
Abbreviations:
Abbreviations that are familiar to pulmonologists/respiratory nurses (eg COPD, ILD, PE, NSCLC etc) may be used without explanation
Laboratory Values:
For laboratory parameters, the units of measurement and normal ranges must be provided
Statements:
Avoid making statements about ongoing studies or pending results.
References:
References are optional but should be kept to a minimum.
